This tasty broth contains various nutrients and minerals that are beneficial for your dogs. Bone broth is mostly made up of collagen, which is a protein that can help protect the joints, improve gut health, and support your dog’s skin and coat. We get vitamins, Omega-3s, and minerals from the bone marrow, and the connective tissue provides chondroitin and glucosamine. When collagen is cooked, it dissolves into gelatin which is high in amino acids.

Bone broth usually takes at least 24 hours of simmering. The easiest way to cook it is by using an Instant Pot or a slow cooker, but you can also cook it on the stove – whatever works best for you! The broth will keep in the fridge for 7-10 days. When making a large amount, you can freeze it in an ice cube tray, then just add one or two cubes to your dog’s meal whenever you want to give them a special treat!

Although bone broth is usually a great addition to any dog’s diet, please remember… If your dog is on a special diet or has a medical condition, you should always consult your veterinarian about dietary changes.
